What age groups does Coto Sports cater to?Our Lil Sluggers program is designed for children aged 2-8 years old.

What makes Coto Sports different from other youth sports programs?Coto Sports uses an age-appropriate curriculum, expertly designed to suit different developmental stages, ensuring learning is fun, impactful, and engaging.

What kind of activities do Lil Sluggers classes involve?Activities include basic motor skills, baseball techniques like batting and fielding, and games that emphasize fun and teamwork.

Do you offer trial classes?Yes, new participants can sign up for a free trial class to experience our program before committing to a full session.

Do you offer any other sports programs apart from baseball?Currently, our focus is on baseball, but we are exploring opportunities to expand into other sports based on demand.

Is there parent involvement in the classes?For the 2-3yr old classes may require some parental involvement. For parents with kids 4yr and up, you are encouraged to watch and support their children, but active parental participation is not required during the class.

How long do sessions last?Each season/semester can vary from 8-14 weeks. Each park class lasts an average of 45 minutes depending on the age group. Classes at local schools and childcare facilities vary depending on location and age.

What can I expect my child to learn during the season?Our Lil Sluggers baseball program is for kids 2-8yrs that teaches the fundamentals of baseball through fun, age-appropriate games. For program details, click [here].

What do I need to bring for class?Lil Slugger T-shirts will be provided during the first couple of classes to wear to class for the season. Please wear comfortable clothes to play in. Nothing specific is required. Closed Toe and Heel shoes required. No crocs, sandals, or boots. We provide all the equipment required. If your child is currently already using a glove, they are more than welcome to bring it. Make sure to bring water! Lawn chair for parents, just in case!

What is our cancellation policy?Coto Sports (Lil Sluggers) will do our absolute best to reschedule cancelled classes but are under no obligation to reschedule classes due to circumstances outside of the company's control, including (but not limited to) mild weather cancellations (ie rainouts, muddy fields). Makeup classes do not include natural disasters, pandemics and/or major catastrophes

How are the makeup classes scheduled?Qualified cancelled classes can be made up during the end of the semester with the two designated makeup weeks. If there are no makeups, these weeks will not be used.

How do you ensure child safety during classes?All coaches undergo background checks, including fingerprinting, and classes are structured to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

How do I register my child for a class?You can register online via our website using the registration platform www.hisawyer.com.

What is the cost of a Lil Sluggers class?Costs can vary by location, season/semester length and how long the individual session is. Please visit our location specific registration page for the most accurate pricing information.

Are there any discounts available?Yes, we offer early bird discounts, sibling discounts, and occasionally seasonal promotions.Join our subscriber list and add us on all your social medias for the latest promotions!

What is your refund policy?Requests for program refunds must be submitted IN WRITING NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST SCHEDULED CLASS OF THE SESSION. No refunds will be given after one week before the first scheduled class. Effective October 1st, 2009 all refunds will incur a $25 cancellation fee for administrative costs. Refunds, after the season has begun for a student(s)’ class(es), are considered on a case-by-case basis and are for extenuating circumstances. If we do not give a refund, we can offer class credits.

Do you offer Class Credits?Once the deadline for refund requests has passed, class credit is available for the unused portion of the fees. For multiple session registrations, NO REFUNDS will be provided for subsequent sessions if a customer withdraws from the program early, only class credits will be provided. Starting January 1, 2015 a $15 per child cancellation fee will be incurred when canceling a session to receive credit. Class credits are also given if we cannot reschedule the makeup classes we cover and guarantee under our obligation during the season (These obligations can include no substitute coach available, Coto Sports/Lil’ Sluggers and/or employee errors).

Can I cancel my auto drafts?To cancel an auto draft payment, it must be done 5 business days prior to the draft date. We cannot honor cancellation of auto drafts before the time allotted 5 business days. There is a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations of auto drafts must be in writing with Coto Sports/Lil’ Sluggers Office staff and sent to info@cotosports.com. The cancellation of auto drafts with any of our coaches cannot be honored.

Do you offer monthly payment plans?No, we do not offer monthly subscriptions.

Do you offer installment plans?Full Payment of each individual spot reserved for the season is required at time of registration. By choosing the installment payment plan, you agree that you are paying for the whole season broken into payments with a deposit to secure the child’s spot in the class. Despite circumstances changing after time of registration, payment is to be paid in full for the season. Deposits of installment payments during registration are non-refundable.

Where are you located?We currently have classes in the cities of (and their surrounding areas) Austin, College Station and Houston.

Where are classes held in Houston?We currently offer park/ public classes in Katy, Cypress, Oak Forest, The Heights and in Bellaire but we are looking to expand into other areas soon.

Is Coto Sports planning to expand to other locations?Yes, we are constantly looking into opportunities to bring Lil Sluggers to new communities.

What is your policy for emergency situations?Coaches are trained in basic first aid and emergency response. Parents’ emergency contact information must be readily accessible.

Do you have a weather policy?Classes may be canceled or rescheduled due to severe weather. These decisions are made with participants' safety in mind. For further information on our cancellations policy, please see our [cancellation policy].
